St Anne’s under the Moonlight

I headed round to Pleasant Valley this evening to shoot this lovely old church under the stars on a moonlit night. My neighbour’s niece was filming a media studies project here, a Gothic horror, and the group needed a few tips on filming in the dark in and around the church, so I was happy to oblige. I’m hoping to get out and about this week to shoot some more night scenes. Newborns

‘The Newborns’. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time to catch this scene of a mother licking the second of her newly born twins clean.  I’d stopped on the other side of the road to take a photo of the sun behind the hills, but meanwhile this was happening behind me. Merino Amongst the Willows

We woke to a scene that made us feel like we were living in a snow globe; snow blowing, up down, left, right – we were static in a whirling mass of weather. So much for winter being behind us. The Road Home

Driving towards the light on the hills, the place I call home. Tonight was Focus club night in Timaru on A/Vs and I’m now two things:  1) dead keen to go to Patagonia, and perhaps more realistically… 2) enthusiastic to feature some A/V work for my clients.  Funnily enough I had a meeting this morning which may mean (2) becomes a reality sooner rather than later. Serendipitous indeed.
