Sheepyards at Ben McLeod, Rangitata Valley

It’s a rainy Sunday so I’m backblipping. Saturday was a busy day! I did the mail run up to Mesopotamia once more, but this time I had no passengers up to the trail. On my route though I had a scheduled stop at Ben McLeod station to feed the twelve farm dogs (the farmer was away for the day). Plenty of Vintage

I’ve been busy in Geraldine today shooting video with my camera and also my drone for a couple of different projects. On my travels I took some stills and footage at the Geraldine Vintage Car and Machinery Museum. The collection is celebrating its 50th anniversary over the weekend, so there was much industry going on in the background while I was taking my shots. Friesian Visitors

We’ve got some new youngsters in the bottom paddock, and just in time for Mono Month they’re black and white Holstein Friesians. They’re just with us for a little while, grazing the land here and taking a break from their ‘home’ down on the other side of the village. Like most young cattle they’re a bit skitty, and even though they get in the way on the driveway, they don’t seem to mind having their picture taken. Day 22 of the Mono Month Challenge.

Freeze Frame #3

The only thing about February being a short month is that the time flies by even quicker than usual. This coupled with an extremely busy workload means I’m late with this first post of the month. My Blipfoto blog has been dominated by Black and White images this month as I’m taking part in a Mono Month Challenge. Seeing in monochrome certainly brings about some interesting challenges, but luckily the X-T2 makes it very easy to preview this in the viewfinder.
